VectorBase maintains a repository for all published and about-to-be-published
microarray experiments pertaining to invertebrate vector species. All
data is processed through a standard normalisation and analysis
pipeline, which enables side-by-side comparison of results from a
variety of experimental designs. While we check carefully to
ensure that the biological interpretations of the published
and VectorBase analyses are qualitatively the same, we advise
users to refer to the original authors' data and protocols if in any
doubt.
Submit data
Contribute and have your microarray data displayed at VectorBase! Please see the submission guidelines for further details.
Custom/expert analysis
All expression data in VectorBase is held in BASE, a microarray data
management and analysis system. Guest access to our BASE server is
provided here, however this is read-only and no novel
analysis can be performed. Contact the VectorBase help
desk to ask for an account with more privileges.
Help and documentation
Contextual help is provided through mouse-over "tooltips" in many places where you might expect
some explanation. Click on the "More info." link
in the yellow tooltip popup window to jump to the relevant point in
the online user manual for extra helpful information.
You may click through to gene expression reports from the VectorBase
genome browser. On gene, transcript and protein pages there is a "Gene
expression summary" link in the left hand menu. In ContigView (e.g. here), make sure you activate the microarray
feature tracks.
